I call this the 'Good Girl Cameo' as I am in the process of creating a Zombie Queen Cameo design.  







The Good Girl. This cameo piece is a pendant surrounded by ebony glass beads. The clasp is a toggle clasp. The cameo is of black resin.

Love is In the Air...........

It is almost February and being it is 60 degrees today in Nashville, it feels like Spring is just around the corner.  So being in the romantic mood I am in, being Valentine's Day is upon us, and the sun is shining today I posted some fun, flirty romantic styles I found on Pinterest this morning. Also, of course, I had to add some fresh flower pics as well.

And remember, love the one you are with and make sure you tell them how much you do love them. I am blessed with having  a husband I am head over heels in love with, even 2 years later:).  So make your evening hello kiss to your significant other a stellar reminder of why you are with them, not just a routine smooch. Who cares if the kids are watching!  Our kids used to say "ewwwww!", but now they are used to it. :) I think it is important to show your children what love is all about. Make it a happy Monday!!

Patiently Waiting......

As I am patienly waiting for my next design materials to arrive, I am searching through old vintage photos and designs.  Old Hollywood really provided a model of class and how the motion picture and entertainment industry used to be and I feel should remain the same.

Imagine if Audrey Hepburn wore a  "meat dress" (Lady Gaga) on the red carpet or Elizabeth Taylor in a cheesehead/rubick's cube hat (Katy Perry)?

I am all about expressing oneself in fashion, but we need to really look at what fashion with class used to mean.

Next Design Idea....

Just purchased the charm for my next piece. It is inspired by my horse trainer and good friend, Kirstin Murphy, whom is the one of the most intelligent and effortlessly chic person  I know.I always leave a conversation with her needing to look up a a word she used I have never heard before.  I love it and always expand my vocabulary. HaHa :)  She is a lover of all things rocker chic and goth.  Bead selection to make design later this week. I can't wait!!:) Have a fabulous Tequila Tuesday!

Bead Obsessed.........

I have made 3 more necklaces for myself since last night. I am very addicted to designing pieces.   My husband is very patient with me as I keep stringing beads and seem very distracted :). I am very blessed to have a supportive family and friends as I pursue my new vision. Now if I could get some patience and realize it takes longer then 12 hours to sell a piece on Etsy. Haha.

The Del Mar....................

I named this piece Del Mar. I grew up a few miles from Del Mar, CA and it reminds me of all the bright jewelry women wear on race day at Del Mar race track. I can just imagine the big black hat with feathers come out of it and pairing this color block necklace. What a fabulous combination!
All glass beading with ceramic glass stones, canary stones, and ebony beads.

I finished this piece tonight as well, so had to share :)

New Title, New Year.................

So most of my followers know my main job is a Dental Hygienist.  One of the most important things to me is to have a white healthy smile and make sure every guest I see each day has the smile they want for life. It is my job to help them become the fabulous new person they desire. Just brightening your smile gives you an instant "facelift", makeover,  and can make you look 7 years younger just by whitening your teeth.. BTW, at my office we call them "guests" not patients, so you don't get the white coat scariness with calling someone a "patient".  Let's face it, who likes the dentist office?  So I have dedicated my career (14 years or so now) to learning the best techniques to get that smile bright. I am really good at it. I always have a guest grinning ear to ear because of how they feel and look with their new smile. I am not tooting my own horn, but its a fact. I rock :).

My next favorite thing is jewelry.  I am learning new techniques and have new ideas each day in my head of what I am ready to make and design for you. Pearls are my favorite and I love Coco Chanel and how she wore them with everything. I try to, as well, always incorporate them in my outfit.  I also like to dabble in fashion blogging, so I also post new ideas to do with fashion and shopping to keep me busy.

So, I decided this new year to change the name of my business to two things which are important to me. Pearls and a white healthy smile.  Welcome to my new vision!!

Capturing the Vitality of Spring....................

I am loving the warmer temperatures we have been having here in Nashville. It's a little chilly today, but at least the sun is out.  So if the sun is out I am happy and I want to go bright, bright with my wardrobe.I love cute, flirty spring dresses and skirts which make me want to twirl.  Even the winter months can't get me blue when the sun is out. Growing up in San Diego, grey days really didn't happen much. So this California girl prefers the sunshine and warmer days :). Flash of Neon..........................

Neon is caliente right now.  However, neon scares the hell out of me. I have flashbacks from childhood about Swatch watches, neon scrunchies, side ponytails, triple rolled socks, and tight rolled jeans.  This season though, I am going to venture out of my aversion to neon and try it.  The key is a small amount will really pack a punch.  Lets look at some ideas...................................

Size Matters.................................

Although I love a clutch for evening, it really is impractical for everyday. You always end up not being able to fit your keys and phone in the clutch and usually are begging your better half to hold the items which you can't cram in the handbag.

So as an everyday bag, I prefer a tote or hobo.  Although they always seem to eat your phone, keys,  and makeup I love a big handbag.  As a mother, you also know if kids get tired of carrying stuff at least you know you have room for it in your huge purse :).
