Holiday Makeup.................

Smoky eyes and red lips.......Two of my favorite makeup looks.  However, never combine the two together! It is way too much and overdone if you do.  Smoky eyes done well looks amazing, but keep neutral lips.  This keeps the focal point ON your eyes, which is why you opted for smoky eyes anyway :).  Gold eye shadows are very popular this Holiday season.....just keep lips neutral.

My favorite is red, red lips for parties and the Holiday season is the best time to wear this look and add some flair. Reds with blue undertones are usually better with most coloring.  Orange reds are good, but you have to get just the right shade or it looks awful.  Also, blue undertone reds make your teeth appear whiter and no one wants yellow looking teeth in their Holiday photos.

Snow, snow...............

Snow is in the forecast for Nashville!! I love it when it snows here. Everyone freaks out, the grocery stores are packed the night before, schools close, and everyone gets to stay home as a family. Growing up in San Diego, we never got "snow days". My first winter after moving to Nashville, a huge ice storm hit and we were out of power for 2 weeks. We even got to "ski" down our hill at my parent's house.  Snow makes me smile and I still get the excitement a child gets when it happens.  Also, my husband and I take an annual ski trip every year and it always makes me think of the fun we have together just he and I.  It's our treat to ourselves with no kids :>)!

Accessories With Attitude......

"The way you keep your wardrobe dynamic is with accessories that have a strong attitude." ~~Laura Lusardi of  MAX MARA
As my followers know, accessories are my passion.  I found a few today to add to your Black Friday shopping list. My sister-in-law has talked me into to braving the mall tomorrow.  Praying my patients will hold up with the crowds :).  Must, must have my coffee in the morning!!!!!! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Add a touch of feminine to your work outfit.......

It seems in the corporate world, women struggle with their wardrobe. They want to look "the part" of the male coworkers in a suit.   I love adding a feminine touch to a suit by adding an accessory here and there to give just a hint of a woman's feminine side. I am not talking about walking in with chandelier earrings, fishnet tights, and a snakeskin handbag all at once. However, just a touch has a great appeal and still looks professional. As the pictures show a hint of lace, pleated skirt, ruffled collar jacket, pearl necklace in a more updated style then just a single strand, or a punch of color in one's handbag really can update an otherwise boring mundane look.

Polished and fresh...................

Classic lines always looked polished and fresh. They can be worn simple or dressed up with accessories.  I prefer the accessories to make the outfit pop.  A clutch in a funky or brilliant pattern always add the extra punch needed to look polished, yet fashion forward.  Have fun with it and step out of your comfort zone a little. You will be surprised how it will make you feel........

Vintage Inspired.........

What makes something vintage? This is a question I ask myself sometimes. When I think of something as "vintage", I automatically think expensive. However, this is not always true.  I am to the decision that "vintage" means a style or fashion statement, which doesn't have an age except in your mind. What makes something vintage work, is how one styles it.  If you do it right....it's amazing!

I was introduced to this designer by my friend Sarah of Pencil Skirts and Lattes. I love these looks and how her designs capture a vintage appeal. I love clothes for the Fall and Winter.......it's my favorite season. :).
